New Year Resolutions!

New Year resolutions are something you make and don’t keep! But since it’s 2008, and someone said I should blog more, then I will!

2008 Resolutions

  • Work Hard
  • Study Hard
  • Play Hard

Ok that’s it! I love school! I love work! I love play! And I love life! Ok this is one of the dumbest post, but whatever :P

I think I should add my timetable too! It’s still work in progress, or bid/ballot in progress, but hopefully I will be able to get it. 3 days of school, 2 days of work yet again? Let CORS decide.

Happy 2008!

Yeap, it’s a new year! Time for great new things to happen! May everyone’s wishes for 2008 come true! Nothing much happening lately, didn’t go for any countdowns, didn’t go out, just stayed at home the whole weekend and stuff. Fell sick last week, so took a few days off at home to rest, play games and watch some shows. Well, not really a big bang to start off the new year, but may great bangs come soon!

Stay Get Healthy Campaign!

I wanted to write stay, but it’s kinda hard to stay healthy when you’re not healthy in the first place!

So I started jogging, 3 times in 5 days so far, but I wonder how long it will last. I will jog/walk to Bishan park, then jog/walk there, and then most of the time I will roll back home. The trip there is uphill, so normally by the time I jog there, I will only end up walking one round at Bishan park and then roll back home, since it’s downhill on the way back. I jogged at 6am the past 2 times, but only started at 7am this morning! Maybe the sun made me feel more dehydrated. Or maybe I need to drink more water the night before. It felt like I was jogging through the Sahara Desert! Ok that’s an overstatement, but you get my drift. So, please remind me to hydrate myself before jogging!

Anyways, had potluck + gift exchange on Saturday at Jennifer’s house! It was to celebrate, and I quote the e-mail, “xmas, mel’s homecoming
(and bringing her ‘rubbish’ back..hee..her charles..=P) , shan’s and kenny’s bday..” So there we have it. We had so much food! Sushi/Sashimi Platter from Sakae, Canadian Pizza, Salads, Ebi Tempura, Cheese Sausage, Braised Duck, Vegetable Curry, Chicken Wings etc, and Log Cake & Red Ruby for dessert! Then we had gift exchange, where we had to be someone’s Secret Santa and be someone elses’ Secret Santee (I made this word). I was Mel’s Secret Santa and Jennifer’s Secret Santee! My job of finding a present was easy, since Mel had a wishlist and it said Ikea Voucher! So a trip to Ikea and that was settled, and Jennifer got me a Deuter waist pouch! It was a fun evening, and we would have to thank Jennifer for organizing this and having us at her place!

[I will add pictures later, once I get them from the various Camera bringers!]

[1 Photo added, will be getting more soon... hopefully!]

Our log cake!

On a not so brighter note, exam results are out on Boxing Day, and to be honest, I’m kinda scared!

100% Done!

Yay! My exams are finally over. Just finished my last paper. It was supposed to be from 9am to 11am, but I finished it within 15 mins. Not that I was confident or anything, but it was a 40MCQ paper, and it was only 30% of the module’s marks. The MCQ choices were like “a) The statement is right. b) The statement is wrong. c) The statement is more right than wrong. d) The statement is more wrong than right”. There were other kinds of questions, but most of them had this kind of answers so I guess I didn’t really care whether I took 15 mins or 1 hour to complete it. Anyway, there is a stupid rule in NUS that you cannot leave within the first hour, so there I was sitting around waiting till 10am before I could leave. Besides, I was not the only one to leave at 10am, so it should mean that either everyone was smart, or just as lost as me. Anyway, I don’t care that much since it’s the end of my exams and I’m free!

I have so much things to do, like play games, watch my tv show episodes which have piled up over the semester. Also, I’m attending Jimmy’s birthday bbq party this evening, and work starts on Monday! Time is precious, gotta catch up with my games now :)

Happy (Belated) Birthday Huijing!

Well, as the title says, Happy Birthday Huijing! Her birthday was really yesterday, but since we only celebrated with her today so I can only post this today! Well not really, but since it’s my blog so what I say goes. We celebrated her birthday at Sushi Tei @ Serangoon Gardens, having our weekly japanese food review once again. No, we don’t really have a weekly japanese food review. It’s just coincidental that Sushi Tei was picked. Anyway, it must have been a long time since I’ve been to Serangoon Gardens. Anyone else sees the irony when people from all over Singapore come to Serangoon Gardens to dine at the various famous eateries and here I am, staying just a 5 mins walk away, and I hardly step foot there. I didn’t even know that a cold storage, and various new eateries have popped up there!

Anyway, back on topic to our Belated Birthday Girl. She has gotta be the funniest girl on earth. Not that she’s good at cracking jokes or anything, but the stuff she does and says… All I can say is I don’t know if I should laugh or cry sometimes. Well, rather that believing what I say, I shall give you some examples!

One fine day on IRC…
[12:34:21] <ching> i went for a wedding dinner
[12:34:23] <ching> one day in advance man

Last week at Hanabi…
nick to her: How’s the Kimchi Ramen?
nick sees her facial expression, then says: Not nice?
her to nick: It’s not not nice, just not nice.

Another fine day on IRC…
[19:55:52] <ching> LOL
[19:55:55] <ching> ooops
[19:56:03] <ching> it was suppose to be a lol

And the list goes on… See what I mean when I say I don’t know if I should laugh or cry? At the end of the day, she’ll still be our “funniest” friend :)

Well, some photos of the birthday cake…

Plates are useful for raising things up…

Too many cameras, which one to look at?

25112007434.jpg

My handphone camera has a countdown function! Too bad the angle is too low…

Wait a minute, we can use stack plates to raise the camera up! Have I told you how useful plates are?
